Award-winning Designer Heath Nash (South Africa) will exhibit an exclusive installation and deliver a series of workshops at Africa Calling this year. He will also participate as a guess panelist in our Africa Calling debate session at Design Junction.

Heath Nash is an independent product designer, and pioneer in the field of using recycled plastics, forerunning the current trend in the South African design community for the use of waste materials. He produces lampshades, installations and other high end decor for the home working with a small team of craftspeople and using both new materials and recyclables. In 2006 he was named by Elle Decoration magazine in South Africa as ‘Designer of the Year’ and is a leading designer for the British Council’s Maker Library Network.

Heath has over 10 years experience running workshops for both professional designers and the general public of all ages. With a playful and experimental approach, Heath will bring 2 new innovative workshops to Africa Calling.
